“GRO” Living Soil Amendment

At Ground FX Landworks Inc., we are pleased to introduce “GRO” Living Soil, a 100% organically natural bio-complete aerobic amendment that is an approved input for certified organic use. It improves soil structure, porosity, water retention, aeration capacity and is a balanced soil-building amendment.

Our “GRO” Living Soil focus is on aerobic decomposition which has a minimum oxygen requirement for aerobic microorganisms to thrive.

This decomposition of organic materials by microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi under these controlled conditions results in a rich, dark brown humus/fine material with superior biological properties. In this process, this organic compost will maintain temperatures of 131°F for at least 72 hours with at least 5 turns made in that time. This ensures that weed seeds and any pathogenic microorganisms are killed off in the hot center. 

“GRO” Living Soil” is dark brown (70% cocoa) in colour, has a 50% moisture with ambient temperature, an old forest or no smell at all, hold its structure well and have good stack ability. This good structure equals less nutrient leaching and is an approved compost input for certified organic use.

Fungal Biomass:        135 ug/g ( micrograms per 1 gram of compost )

F:B ratio:         Equal to or greater than 0.3:1 ( 0.3 units of Fungus to 1 unit of Bacteria )

Protozoa:        10,000 protozoa per gram of compost

Beneficial Nematodes          100: Beneficial Nematodes per gram of compost
